Package prices do not include mileage, parking, tolls, accommodation, flights, public record or database fees, specialist equipment, or subcontractor costs. These are charged at cost if incurred and will be agreed with you in advance where foreseeable.
Best Suited To
Private Paradox Investigations publishes rates upfront and offers online package purchasing. Most PI practices do not publish rates and require a consultation before any price is given. These packages give you price certainty before you pick up the phone.
The effective hourly rate ranges from $90 to $110 per hour depending on package size, compared to published rates of $120/hour or more at practices that publish at all.

These terms apply to all investigation hour packages purchased through this website.
All investigation packages are prepaid. Work does not commence until payment is confirmed and the investigator has spoken with you to confirm scope.
Package hours are charged against time spent on your matter, including case review, planning, enquiries, research, surveillance, field attendance, travel time where applicable, analysis, reporting, client communication, and administration directly connected with the investigation.
Package prices do not include mileage, parking, tolls, accommodation, flights, public record fees, database costs, specialist equipment, subcontractors, legal fees, or other third-party expenses, unless expressly agreed in writing in advance.
Unused package hours are not refundable where you change your mind, cancel, or decide not to proceed. This does not limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Private Paradox Investigations does not guarantee any particular outcome, result, finding, location, admission, payment, or evidence. Fees are for professional investigator time and lawful investigative work, not for a guaranteed result.
We may decline any matter that appears unlawful, unsafe, unethical, misleading, vexatious, harassment-based, or outside the scope of a licensed private investigator. If work is declined before starting, a full refund will be issued. If work is stopped mid-matter due to new information indicating unlawfulness, a refund for hours not yet applied will be issued.
Packages may not be used for harassment, stalking, intimidation, unlawful tracking, impersonation, access to private records without lawful authority, or any other improper purpose.
Package hours expire six months from the date of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Once package hours are exhausted, additional work is charged at the standard rate of $165 + GST per hour. Additional time is billed in 15-minute increments.
If you cancel or postpone scheduled work with less than 24 hours' notice, we may deduct time already spent preparing for the assignment from your remaining package hours.
All investigative work is conducted by or under the supervision of investigators licensed under the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010. Licence #23-114790.
